Music, Shopping, and Food, what more could you ask for on the last Friday in November as the Vermont International Festival opened to the public. More than 1,000 students attended the afternoon session of the show. 
Viva Las Vegas
The staff is just back from four days at the International Association of Fairs and Exposition's annual conference in Las Vegas. The international flavor was supplemented by the location - The Paris Hotel on the Strip. Having the Eiffel Tower (or at least a smaller version of it) helped to set the mood.
Lots of great seminars, networking with other fair personnel and some new ideas that we hope to bring to the Champlain Valley Fair in 2008. One of the best workshops was on how to better use blogs, social media and websites. I need to digest and study up on a few of the ideas before I put them out on the web.
I'll post some photos and maybe a short video or two of the trade show in the coming days.
